Chengdu Phoenix Mountain Sports Park, located in the emerging Jinniu District in the north of Chengdu, has a 60,000-seat football field that meets FIFA standards and a 18,000-seat basketball complex that meets NBA standards, and is a landmark project of China's new generation of park complexes. Jointly built by HKS International Architects and Southwest China Architectural Design Institute, Phoenix Mountain Sports Park is a core building with a hall and a "hotel + commercial" complex, integrating sports, performing arts and leisure scenes to create a new experience of public cultural space for the urban community. AC Hotel Chengdu, which opened this spring, officially joins the "City Lounge" located in the new district of the city.

AC Hotel Chengdu is part of a grand and dynamic building, a true host of the "City Lounge", with its modernist and delicate style, from a micro perspective and macro design.

The design of the building complex is uniform, and the curves are stretched and beautiful. Viewed from the air, the shape is like phoenix eyes, also known as "phoenix eyes", with a shining and smart look. The façade of the building complex is inspired by "Shu brocade", and the perforated metal aluminum plate with a diamond-shaped three-dimensional curved surface forms a woven and orderly façade texture, which presents a sense of flow with the ups and downs of the building shape, and produces a visual effect of changing scenery between sparse changes.

Elegant, minimalist and utilitarian interior design is the essence of AC Hotel's art. Through artworks with different shapes but the same spiritual core, it creates a modern space with a sense of local culture and contemporary art, which is the design highlight of AC Hotel Chengdu. Adhering to the design strategy of "continuous spatio-temporal dimension", the designer abstracts geometric figures from the local urban culture and sports elements as the carrier of the design narrative, breaks the inherent time, space and domain definition of architectural interior design elements and cultural elements, and comprehensively integrates them from the aspects of concept, material, and use function, and applies them to the details of the space, attracting people to find surprises inadvertently.

The background of the front desk is laid out with a variety of geometric figures such as hexagons and triangles, which cleverly form associations; Moving to the restaurant and the corridor of the public area, you can capture all kinds of installation art paintings composed of geometric elements at a glance. The design of hotel signage is even more convenient, and the geometric beauty is used to the extreme in the space.

Organically combine the lines of Shu brocade weaving with the cutting surface of the architectural diamond.

The application of color has a variety of things, and each painting has a different form and style, but all of them use "blue, white and yellow" as the basis to compose colors. When I asked what was going on, I realized that the hotel space and the stadium were organically related to the stadium through artistic abstraction, inspired by the color of the stadium seats, which made people think about it. Most of the artworks are made of architectural decoration woodworking boards as the base material, conveying the unchanged environmental protection concept of AC Hotel and realizing the integration of artistic concept and interior decoration.

▲The design is inspired by the architectural form of the two rings of the sports park and the circular LOGO design of the stadium, combined with the blue seat color of the football field, and the three sets of rings express the integration of the AC Hotel as the third building and the two main buildings of the first and first halls.

▲According to the gradual change of the sparkling façade lines of the building, the circular elements after the overlook of the building are extracted, and the shape of wings flying is used to express the meaning of take-off.

The style design achieved within the minimalist framework is the hallmark of the AC Hotel, with the open layout features and the functional design of the boutique all around the lifestyle. Whether it is the relationship between functions and circulation lines, or the layout of facilities in the space, they all fully consider the guest experience under the current changes in business travel lifestyles.

Directly opposite the hotel's front desk, the AC Lounge is spacious and bright, and you can sit back and enjoy the natural light projected by floor-to-ceiling glass. The lobby bar follows the principle of "morning C and evening A", serving refreshing coffee and snacks during the day, and enjoying leisure time during the day on the sofa chair; Kick off the evening with a glass of the iconic gin & ton, from soft drinks to wines and whiskeys. The AC Lounge also features a private space where you can host a variety of events, from small salons to meetings.

At the corner of the AC Lounge is the restaurant, the AC Kitchen, where open and semi-open spaces are organically integrated, ensuring a smooth dining flow while giving a certain degree of privacy. AC Kitchen offers a classic continental breakfast and local dishes from Chengdu every day, and the kitchen is hot every day, offering guests a relaxing and comfortable morning with global cuisine. The brand's signature Spanish ham slicer also offers a rare taste of Spanish cuisine.

The hotel has a total of 240 rooms, including 7 suites, arranged in a U-shape in the hotel building. The design of the guest rooms integrates the life attitude of Chengdu people, and relaxation and comfort become the first elements, which is very consistent with the Spanish DNA of AC Hotel. Pastel colors and textures are the first impression, and like AC Hotel Suzhou, AC Hotel Chengdu has chosen a city map of Chengdu as part of the art painting in the rooms to create a local cultural atmosphere. The carpets in the guest rooms and the tiles in the bathrooms present various geometric shapes in different ways, which are consistent with the overall design of the hotel.

Streamlined in form, meticulous in heart. The integrated design of the minibar, shelves and desk forms a smooth whole, efficiently integrating the functions of the space and extending the visual appearance of the room. The simplicity without losing the richness of functions reflects the ingenious combination of style design and practical functions of the AC brand.

In addition to the atrium garden on the first floor of the hotel, there are also corresponding outdoor areas on the second and third floors, where guests can stop in the outdoor seating area with rich vegetation after a few steps out of the room, enjoy the daylight pouring overhead, and feel the dual roaming of mind and body in contact with plants. This is a very rare experience in Chengdu, where the sun is precious.

Walking along the aisle on the ground floor, you will find the adjoining small ballroom and meeting room, which are fully equipped to meet the needs of small banquets. On the other side of the vein is the gym, equipped with a variety of professional fitness equipment, through the floor-to-ceiling glass can fully feel the sun, bringing more energy to every moment of exercise.

With modernist style as the brush, geometric figures as the ink, and Shu style and sports elements as the background color, AC Hotel Chengdu has created a vibrant art space in Chengdu, a relaxed and hot city.
