The former residence of Chen Cihong is one of the famous residences in Guangdong Chaozhou-Shantou, known as "the first overseas Chinese residence in Lingnan." The renowned essayist Qin Mu from Chaozhou once wrote a poem:

"Sweet well water from my hometown, where do I not miss you?"

...The building materials used in Chen Cihong's former residence gathered both domestic and foreign essences at that time. The embedded porcelain craftsmanship is like a "scroll" in traditional Chaozhou architecture. To achieve unique and exquisite craftsmanship, all brackets were covered with imported colored porcelain. Those porcelain craftsmen were renowned skilled artisans who competed with each other; they worked behind curtains during their tasks only to receive applause from their host when they completed their work!

...On the first floor lobby, inspired by Chaozhou-Shantou's intangible cultural heritage, traditional culture quietly blooms within modern design techniques. The artistic background is based on visual parameters that blend elegance from Lingnan architecture's Huoe Ear House to present a calm and harmonious atmosphere.

 

 

 

...The beauty of touch arises from the fusion of metal craftsmanship from the Song Dynasty with modern porcelain techniques. It showcases both profound traditional connotations and reflects exquisite modern craftsmanship.
